CONCEPT: Review, annotate, link and share not one but two documents side by side!
DELIVERY: I’m pretty set on the app that I like to use for annotating but when I heard the possibility of actively working with documents side by side my curiosity peaked. Most of us are always skipping back and forth between documents, I know I am and I know my students are. Sure we can have multiple tabs open, but why go back and forth when you can have documents side by side! Being able to work with two documents side by side makes it an ideal study tool especially when it comes to research and comparing PFs. What makes this app significant is the ability to link documents from within.
Want to give it a go? Open up the app and enjoy their interactive tutorial. I absolutely loved this feature! No need to tap around and try to figure out what everything does on your own, just take a few moments to engage in their interactive tutorial and you’ll be ready to begin annotating, linking and sharing documents side by side.
Linking documents is another unique application that this app offers allowing you to create links between all the different files in your library so that you can select that link and go right to that document or page number! Can’t even begin to imagine how useful this could be for students as they study. No more flipping through multiple pages trying to remember where you wrote/ready what you are looking for. Another clever feature in the app is the use of gestures. Two-finger tap scrolls 10 pages to the left, two-finger tap scrolls 10 pages to the right and a three-finger tap will switch the PDFs from left to right! An essential feature when creating an app like this is ensuring a clean and easy to use interface and in this area it’s a 10/10. Working with this app couldn’t be any easier.
LIMITATIONS: A voice annotation feature would be a wonderful addition.
CONCLUSION: In a market saturated with annotation apps Easy Annotate really sets themselves apart and provides innovative and essential features when it comes to working with documents. 4/5
