CONCEPT: Digitally track the content of kids' lunchboxes.
DELIVERY: This healthy eating themed app allows users to record the contents of their lunchbox over a period of days and weeks. Once the lunchbox has been named, and a colour lunchbox monster assigned, you are presented with the choice of fruits, veggies, proteins and snacks. Clicking on any of these categories will open up a slider menu of images of different foods. A nice addition is the ability to add your own food/localised brands to the menus, even including a photo.
Once you have designated the foods that make up your lunchbox for the day, it is logged and you can see a contrast of what you've had over a series of days. Unfortunately, there is no other representation of the data such as tracking the variations/levels of foods eaten.
LIMITATIONS: There is no information within the app in regards to the food groups/need to balance diet. The app also doesn't really take note of your choices In terms of their nutritional value - I packed a lunch of just 6 cookies and was gold if was super! The ability to view the data in different forms, or for it to have been analysed in some way for you, would have been most welcome too.
CONCLUSION: A valid idea that is well presented but lacks educational information to support its concept. 1/5
