CONCEPT: Easily create a unique montage of an image and a map showing the location it is associated with.
DELIVERY: I like it when a simple concept is delivered well. It does just what it says on the tin and the interface is easy to navigate. You simply pull the various elements of the composite image - the map, the photo, the text - together by selecting them from the menu down the left hand side and then the app does the heavy lifting.
A decent range of layout designs are offered, ranging from modern to more antiquated, and these can be customised in terms of backing colour as well. Users can tweak smaller display details for the map such as the use of a compass rose, the names of places etc. The map itself can also be adjusted to show terrain, road, satellite or hybrid view. The level of zoom used can be adjusted to suit requirements.
LIMITATIONS: There is a character limit to the text you can add, meaning longer descriptions aren't possible. The ability to manipulate the size and placement of elements within the final image would also have been a big plus.
CONCLUSION: A niche app but a cool one nonetheless. Well worth a look. 3/5
