In this series, I'll be sharing my year in review as I transitioned from being a high school history teacher and Director of Educational Technology in K-12 to Director of Innovative Learning for the PA program at the Keck School of Medicine.
Part One: Community Building Begins at Home
“We are all artists,” Seth Godin says in his book Linchpin. Some of us are the paintbrush and canvas kind, some the graphics and design kind, and some the gift giving kind. Seth Godin continues to say, "By giving our art out into the universe we are creating a path that will lead to opportunities we can’t begin to imagine."
I’m often asked how I made the transition from teaching high school history to becoming director of innovative learning at the Keck School of Medicine where I work with the physician assistant program. Last week at the Apple Distinguished Educator Institute I had a chance to share my story and now I’m sharing it with you.
In part 2 I'll share an appsmash to spice up your CV - read it here.
